Easy@Home currently offers LH and hCG hormone tests, along with BBT (basal body temperature) thermometers, to monitor your complete cycle and enhance your chances of getting pregnant. In the first half of the cycle, you need to monitor LH levels to predict ovulation. An LH peak signals ovulation is likely to occur in the next 24 to 36 hours.
However, even if you see an LH surge, it does not always mean ovulation will occur. A BBT thermometer will track the rise in temperature that occurs when progesterone rises after ovulation has occurred. Also, Pregnanediol Glucuronide (PdG), a metabolite of progesterone, increases after ovulation, so a positive PdG test also confirms ovulation. If conception does not occur, progesterone and PdG levels will decrease, and menstruation will occur. If conception does occur, progesterone and PdG levels will stay high to support fetal development and hCG tests can detect your pregnancy as early as 5 days before your missed period.
