Ovulation predictor kit measures luteinizing hormone (LH), which is released before ovulation occurs. In contrast, Pregnanediol Glucuronide (PdG) urine test detects the presence of PdG in urine, a hormone produced after ovulation occurs.
Reading results:
For LH test: A positive LH result will show two visible lines, with the test line being as dark or darker than the control line. This indicates that you will likely ovulate within the next 24-48 hours.
For PdG test: A positive result will show no test line within the reading time frame. This indicates a PdG positive surge.
